- Oxbow Nature Study Area: Hidden away from the neon lights and bustling of downtown Reno is a lovely nature preserve and riparian area known as Oxbow Nature Study Area and the adjacent Sack Park with knows habitants such as mink, beaver, muskrat, otter, deer, bear and skunk among the mammal life in the area. There are also raptors, waterfowl and many other bird types.
